Before you sign in
The closet you lay out is a draft, and it lives in your own browser’s storage. It doesn’t leave your machine until you sign in, when it becomes a plan on your account. Until then we can’t see it, and if you clear your browser data it’s gone — we couldn’t recover it because we never had it.
When you sign in
Signing in — with Google, Apple, or an emailed link — creates an account, handled by Supabase. We store your email address, how you signed in, and the plans you save. That’s it. There is no profile: no name field, no photo, nothing collected on the side. Staying signed in uses a session cookie, and that is the only cookie we set.
The only email we send is the sign-in link you asked for, delivered by Resend from hello@planmyshelf.com. No newsletters, ever.
Asking for a brand
If you ask for a brand the catalog doesn’t carry, we keep the name you typed and the link if you added one. Nothing about you goes with it: the request isn’t attached to your account, and it’s stored the same way whether you’re signed in or not. Your browser does send a random number it made up for itself, so that asking twice for the same brand counts once. It isn’t tied to you, we never look anything up with it, and clearing your browser storage replaces it.
Analytics
We count visits with Umami, which is cookieless and stores no personal identifiers. We can see that pages were visited, not who visited them.
We also count a short list of things that happen in the planner, so we can tell which parts of it get used: a box placed, a plan saved, the 3D view opened, the shopping list copied, and a few more of the same kind. These are counts and nothing else — no plan, no shelf, and no box you made is ever sent. The one exception is the search box in the box library: what you type there is recorded, because it tells us which brand to add next. Type nothing you wouldn’t say out loud, and the same goes for the brand request form above.
Deleting your data
Write to hello@planmyshelf.com and we’ll delete your account. Deleting an account deletes its plans, and that is everything we hold about you.
